En julio se celebrará una reunión de taikistas a nivel mundial por primera vez, en Los Ángeles (California). En Norteamérica (EE.UU. y Canadá) hay un gran comunidad de taiko, originada en los años 70 gracias a la gran comunidad de japoneses allí emigrados y sus descendientes. Suelen celebrar encuentros cada dos años, llamados North American Taiko Conference (NATC).

Este año, promovido por TaikoProject entre otros, han querido ir más allá y organizar la World Taiko Gathering , del 18 al 20 de julio 2014. Una oportunidad de lujo para aprender, intercambiar conocimientos e inquietudes sobre taiko, comprar material… Da igual el nivel que se tenga, habrá opciones para todos y con los mejores profesionales del momento. Podéis consultar la completísima programación en su web. Ya se ha abierto el plazo de inscripción. ¿Quién se apunta?

Isabel ha sido invitada a participar y nos encantaría que Mónica pudiera acompañarla. In July will take place for the first time a World Taiko Gathering, in Los Angeles (CA). In North America there’s a big taiko community, originated in early 1970’s thanks to the Japanese community stablished there. They meet around every two years at the North American Taiko Conference (NATC).

This year, promoted by TaikoProject among others, they have broaden this meeting to a World Taiko Gathering. A great opportunity to learn, exchange interests about taiko, buy things…  It doesn’t matter if you are an expert or a novice, there’ll be options for everybody with the best professionals nowadays.
